How to Delete Contacts
Clearing obsolete contacts is the key to sending marketing notifications to the right recipients. Bulk deletion seems a great luxury when you have a large customer base to maintain. Check this help guide to learn the art of contact deletion.
Log in to your Automizely Marketing account > Go to Contacts
Select All contacts
Choose the contact you want to delete
Scroll down to the bottom to find the Delete contact option
Please note that you can delete 20,000 contacts in one go.
Go to the Contacts page
Select the contacts that you want to delete
Click Delete contacts
Now, you’ll see a popup with a vacant field in which you need to enter DELETE to confirm the deletion of the selected contact profiles. Once done, click Delete.
If you are deleting a large number of contacts, it may take some time. Don’t worry, we will show you the progress
You'll be notified when the action is in progress or has been completed. If there is already a deletion task in progress, you would need to wait for the current one to finish before deleting more contacts.
All contacts deleted will be removed permanently, and the action cannot be undone.
Once the deletion task is completed, all sensitive data associated with the contacts will be removed like event history, recipient record, etc. Also, contacts’ information will be anonymized and replaced with the word “Deleted contact”
